Holy Week Worship

Maundy Thursday – April 13

7:00 pm – Worship in the Sanctuary

A Service of Holy Communion and Shadows when the lights dim to darkness and we remember Jesus' anguished prayer and his arrest by Roman soldiers in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Good Friday – April 14

12:00-3:00 pm -- Ecumenical Worship

At St. John's Episcopal Church on Pine Street (come and go as you wish), remembering the Seven Last Words of Christ and Jesus’ death on the cross.

7:00 pm – Worship in the Sanctuary

A Service of Lamentation as we face the death of Jesus on the cross, come to be near him in his suffering, lament the world’s brokenness and the fragmentation of our lives, and affirm the conviction that God’s mercy still is over all.

Easter Vigil – Saturday, April 15

7:00 pm – Worship begins in the Chapel with lighting a new fire followed by a candlelight procession to the Sanctuary, where we recall God's saving acts from Genesis to Revelation, renew our baptismal commitments, and celebrate communion, this time not as the Last Supper, but as the First Breakfast of the New Age. Bring the whole family and, if possible, a small bell to ring.

Easter – Sunday, April 16

8:30 am and 10:30 am – Worship in the Sanctuary

Extended Musical Preludes at 8:00 am and 10:00 am

Services of Joy with brass and bells as we celebrate the Good News of Christ’s Resurrection and join our voices in Alleluia songs.
