THEME: This year we will be looking at how we live our lives in "The DASH". If you're not familiar with the poem by Linda Ellis, the DASH represents the time we are graced with between our first and last day on this earth. It is in the DASH that we cultivate our relationships with our family and friends, contemplate our spiritual path, and work our career path, among many other experiences. During this intergenerational gathering of men we will examine this DASH and explore ways to bring more of ourselves to that precious space. Drawing on our individual stories and experiences, we will explore how the values we hold and how they might contribute or take away from us filling our DASH with as much life as possible. We will also explore some techniques both from scripture and other resources to assist us in adding life to our DASH such as this approach by : Mark Merrill
D - Determination
A - Awareness
S - Service
H - Humility
It promises to be a fun and insightful time. We look forward to seeing you there and encourage you to invite another man who you think will appreciate this gathering.
LOCATION: YMCA Estes Park (not Winter Park). We'll have exclusive use of the Hyde Barclay Reunion Cabin, which means all our retreat sessions and meals will be in the same building. This also means we'll be continuing our old tradition of preparing and cooking our own meals. Everyone will serve on a cooking/cleaning team.
COST: $180 (shared room and meals) Scholarships are available (We want to make sure cost is not a barrier, so if you want to come and need financial assistance please let us know).
