Youth Ministry: The Rock

The mission of our youth program at First Congregational is to encourage healthy and deep relationships with others, self, and God. With God as our rock, we can doubt, affirm, struggle, and celebrate with one another in our wild faith adventure together.

Middle School: The Rock Pile

Grades 6-8, 10:15 A.M. on Sundays

Middle Schoolers study Jesus and his teachings and Bible stories in experiential and community building ways. In addition, 6-8th graders meet monthly for fellowship.

Confirmation: The Quarry

Grade 8, 7:00-8:15pm on Wednesdays

“The Quarry” is a year-long Confirmation Class for 8th-grade students. These Miners are given the tools to create a safe community, where they can explore and develop their faith.

High School: Climb

Grades 9-12, 10:00 A.M. on Sundays

“Climb” is the High School Fellowship ministry. Climbers engage in activities, explore faith, and experience healthy relationships to self, to others, and to God.

La Foret

La Foret is both a where and a what. La Foret is a retreat center outside of Colorado Springs.  La Foret is also an experience. Many people who go to La Foret find peace, faith, and friends there.

Middle School Retreats

Middle School Retreats are an opportunity for youth, 6-8th grades, to experience God and relationships through fun and meaningful activities in an outdoor setting.

High School Retreats

High Schoolers get to know others in a safe environment while growing in faith in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Work Camp

Work Camp is a chance for 9-12th graders to help others with kind and open hearts as well as receiving the meaning of God's abundant love. We do not go to "fix" other people's problems or to convert people to our way of thinking. We seek to deepen our relationships by serving others.
